Respecting Copyright and Creative Rights

XCalibur Books takes copyright law seriously. We’re creators ourselves, and we believe that authors, artists, and publishers deserve full respect and protection for their work. All ebooks and digital products on this site are either owned by us, licensed to us, or distributed with permission  from their original creators.

Submitting a Copyright Complaint

If you believe that material on XCalibur Books infringes your copyright, please send us a written notice that includes the following information:

  • Your full name and contact information (email and mailing address)
  • A clear description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
  • The exact URL or location on our site where the infringing material appears
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner or the law
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information you’ve provided is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  • Your electronic or physical signature

Once we receive a complete notice, we will promptly review the claim, remove or restrict access to the material if appropriate, and contact the party who posted it.

Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe your material was removed in error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification that includes:

  • Your full name, address, and phone number
  • The URL of the material that was removed
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake
  • A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of your local federal court (or, if outside the U.S., to a court where we are located)
  • Your signature

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material unless the original complainant files a legal action within 10 business days.

Good Faith and Fair Use

We support fair use, parody, commentary, and review — forms of expression that fall within the boundaries of lawful use. If your work was used in one of these contexts, please consider that before submitting a claim.

We’re creators first, business second — and we’re committed to protecting the rights of both.
